Follow this simple tutorial to send your first marketing email from scratch. It really only takes 5 minutes!

📋 Preparation (30 seconds)

You need:

1. 📧 An email account (Gmail, Outlook, etc.)
2. 📝 A few test contact emails
3. ☕ A cup of coffee (optional)

🚀 Getting Started

Step 1: Configure Email (1 minute)

Go to Settings > Email and configure your SMTP:

Gmail Example:

SMTP Server: smtp.gmail.com
Port: 587
Username: [email protected]
Password: Your App Password (not Gmail password)

Step 2: Add Contacts (1 minute)

Go to Contacts → Click "Add Contact"

Email: [email protected]
Name: Test Friend  
Tags: Test User

Or import Excel file (recommended format):

Step 3: Create Email (2 minutes)

Go to Campaigns → Click "Create Campaign"

Choose a template:

• 🎉 Product Launch - For new product announcements
• 📢 Event Notice - For event invitations
• ✨ Simple Greeting - For first-time sends

Edit content:

Subject: 🎉 Maildrone Test Email
Body: 
Hi {{Name}},

This is my first email sent with Maildrone!

Best regards!

Step 4: Send Email (1 minute)

Pre-send checklist:

• ✅ Recipients selected
• ✅ Subject line filled
• ✅ Email content complete

Click Send → Choose "Send Now" → Confirm ✅

After sending, go to Analytics to see:

Real-time data:

• 📤 Sent: 2 emails
• 📧 Delivery Rate: 100%
• 👁️ Open Rate: Tracking...
• 🖱️ Click Rate: Tracking...
